Step 1: Set Up a Steam Account
If you don't have a Steam account, visit the official Steam website (https://store.steampowered.com) and click on the "Join Steam" or "Install Steam" button to create an account.
Step 2: Download and Install Steam
After creating your Steam account, download the Steam client for your operating system (Windows, macOS, or Linux) from the Steam website. Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.
Step 3: Log into Steam
Launch the Steam client you just installed. Enter your Steam account credentials (username and password) and click the "Login" button.
Step 4: Add CS:GO into Your Account
In the Steam client, navigate to the "Store" tab located at the top of the window. In the search bar, type "Counter-Strike: Global Offensive" or simply "CS:GO" and press Enter. Click on the game's title in the search results to access its store page. On the game's store page, click the blue "Add to Library" button.
Step 5: Install CS:GO
Once you've added CS:GO, it will be added to your Steam library. Click on the "Library" tab at the top of the Steam client to view your game library. In the list of games, locate "Counter-Strike: Global Offensive" and click on it. On the game's library page, you'll see an "Install" button. Click on it to start the installation process. Choose the installation location on your computer and click "Next" to confirm. Steam will start downloading and installing CS:GO. The progress bar will show the download status.
Step 6: Launch CS:GO
Once the installation is complete, the "Install" button on the game's library page will change to a green "Play" button. Click the "Play" button to launch CS:GO. The game will begin loading.

So this was deleted, now you have to get cs2, and go into the betas tab, then select csgo legacy (i think), if you already have the game you may not need to though idk

There is neither "Counter-Strike: Global Offensive" no simply "CS:GO" in steam, "Counter-Strike 2" only.
